what is the rate for a shooting and what is included?
Our premium photo shootings are individual experiences, each one is different. A shooting with your baby needs another planning than a trash the dress shooting or a lavish beauty shooting.
The beginning of every journey is the wish to to experience something special. So are our shootings . Therefore we will begin our journey with a detailed exploration of your wishes and ideas for the shooting - via phone, email or a personal conversation. In the course of this we will assist you with all our creativity and experience. Finally you will receive a detailed offer for your individual shoting.
The rates include for every shooting:
- Extended individual brainstorming and development of an photographic idea for your journey.
- Pool rent.
- Underwater shooting with professional studio and underwater photo equipment. We use high quality equipment by Seacam and Elinchrom.
- Presentation of your best images, personally or via email. Art consultation for the Präsentation Ihrer besten Fotos, persönlich oder per Mail. Art Consultation and selection of the best materials to create unique art work to hang on your wall.
- Monitoring of the production of your ordered art work and guaranteed satisfaction.
Depending on the character of the shooting (baby shooting, bride shooting, beauty shooting etc.) the following additional things are included:
- Professional underwater-make up.
- Assistance of a safety diver.
- Accessoires and styling.
- High end retouching of an appointed number of photos.
where does the shooting take place?
Our "studio pool" is located in Cologne. More locations where we are working on a regular basis are Düsseldorf, Hannover and Palma de Mallorca.
You can book us for shootings at every location of your choice. Just talk to us!
Do i have to be a good swimmer?
You don´t have to be a swimmer at all for our shootings. You should have an attraction to the element of water, though. During our shootings somebody is always taking care of you, above and under water.
Usually we are working in pools of a depth between 1.5 and 3.8 meters. Which pool will be suited for your shooting we will explore during our first conversation.
Do i have to hold my breath for a long time? do i have to open my eyes under water?
You will be stunned about how quick you will adapt to modelling under water. We set great value upon a relaxed and joyful environment for you. Therefore we don´t have any "musts" but we will find a solution for everybody´s dream images. Being a diving instructor I am used to working with beginners and carefully introducing them to the emelent of water.
what do i have to bring?
During our first conversation we will make a plan about which clothes and accessories you will like to bring for the photo shooting. White, even better skin-colored, underwear is best suited to wear "underneath".
will my dress be damaged?
We haven´t made any negative experience so far. Your dress will probably smell a little bit of chlorine after the shooting and might have to become washed or dry cleaned. Synthetics are completely unproblematic, with silk there might be a chance for slight shrinking. Please note that after all we cannot take any responsibility for a potential damage for your dress or other accessories.
can i bring somebody?
Principally feel free to bring a companion. We like to turn our shootings into a fun event for verybody. Maybe you want to bring your husband or a friend.
However, you should consider the possible advantages of concentrating on this potentially new and unfamiliar situation without distraction. We can talk about this beforehand.
Children under the age of 14 can only be accepted as companions with a supervisor. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot take any responsibility in a pool environment.
can i choose the images i like?
Of course you can choose whichever images you like. Unretouched underwater images might be hard to judge. Maybe you can´t imagine how a picture will look after the retouching right away. We will help you with our experience to choose the best selection.
what will be the next step?
We maintain a high standard and want to present a professional result to you. This requires for fashion shots - which basically we are talking about here - a perfect retouching. This retouching can be up to some hour´s work. The price for the retouching is either included in the price for the shooting or stipulated per image. Your advantage: you pay only for what you selected.
Please understand that we cannot give away any unretouched images or RAW material.
Do i get files or real artwork?
Usually you will get a fine art print of 20x30cm of every selected picture. Additionally you will get a Jpg file in the right resolution for sharing the images with your friends on Facebook or Instagram.
To transform your photos into unique works of art, we will happily suggest formats and materials which our long-time partners will produce for you. You will understand that we will only work with these partners to secure quality and longevity.

High Resolution files can only be obtained upon special agreement and compensation.
how long do you keep my images?
After the presentation of your images and your art consultation we will keep your images for 30 days. Only ordered images will be kept in our archive.
when do i have to pay for my artwork?
All artwork will be produced exclusively for you. We ask for the complete payment before start of production. Because of our guaranteed quality there is no risk for you - monitoring the whole production process and a final check before delivery is part of our service.
How long does it take to get my ordered artwork?
After receiving your payment we will commission the ordered artwork. The production time usually is between 10-14 working days. However, some exceptional products may take up to 6 weeks.
how much do customers of little waves usually spend on their artwork?
Our clients have individual demands and ways of presenting their artwork. As a rule the invest for that is between several hundred and some thousand Euros. There is no coercion to buy images. However, please keep in mind that we are talking about unique photos and that you may demand high standards of my work. Before booking one of our shootings please consider if we share the same ernestness for creating such artwork together.
what if i dont like the pictures?
We promise all efforts to get you beautiful and unique images from your underwater shooting, while there is no guarantee for "successful" shootings with non-professional models. Anyway, we don´t want anyone to feel pressured. Therefore we are offering a new attempt in the case of "failure". Please understand that we reserve the right to evaluate the results of a shooting.
is there paperwork to do before the shooting?
Before the shooting we ask you to sign our release form and our terms and conditions which we will send you with your booking.
Additionally we have to ask you to complete a short medical questionnaire. We don´t want to invade your personal privacy with that but to secure that all of us can go into the shooting with good conscience.
can i book an underwater shooting as a gift for somebody else?
An individual underwater shooting is a wonderful gift for loved ones and for instance quite popular as a wedding present.
However, since all our shootings are different we may ask you for a short conversation to estimate the spending needed. Of course you are free to give away a voucher for whatever amount which the presentee can use for a photo shooting later.
